Strange spindle size for replacement chuck for small Ryobi drill press.
Greetings
I am having a clear out, one of the tools in the cleansing operation is a small 5 speed Ryobi drill press, model HBD6E. These were discounted at Bunnings a few years ago for $70 or so. Quite a nice machine within it's limits. Anyway, mine is missing the chuck. The taper on the spindle appears to match no taper mentioned on the Wikipedia page Machine taper - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, as the large end is 15.90mm diameter, the small is 14.55. I would have expected one of the Jacobs tapers. Have Ryobi made a machine that is not compatible with the standard tapers?
