    There are a number of older units that had a table saw and off to the side using the same motor, a jointer.
    I take it you have found a Gumtree or like sale and there are no pictures?

    A jointer or planer attached to the drive motor of the saw bench? There are a few of those combination machines around. I have one from the 1930s....
