Default Switch button for Elektra Beckum HC260 planer thicknesser

    002.jpg20160727_180837.jpg

    Hi all,

I'm currently restoring my EB HC260 planer thicknesser and I'm trying to source the stop button for it. Are there any electricians out there that would be able to tell me what the correct term for this type of switch button ? Technically it isn't electrical as there are no electrical connections. The outer button pushes the inner button. I've tried searching on eBay and RS components but a million switches come up because I don't know what this thing is actually called. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Down on page 7 it shows a mechanical switch pushing an electrical switch below.

Thanks mate, but I think those buttons are different. Mine has a small plastic shaft sticking out the back which pushes the electrical switch on the inside. Looking at the dimensional drawings in the catalogue, it doesn't look like those buttons have that.

These have a "through" shaft that pushes on the switch below. Their Page 7 is clearer, I think and switch block that it activates is on their page 9 (not the page number on the top LH corner)

Thanks Lappa. I'll go and see one of their stockists.

Just updating this thread with the part number just in case someone else has the same problem in the future (probably me again). And just in case the photos disappear when archived, the switch button used is a: GE CEMA model # P9XER4RN Muchroom Push Button with Lock.
