Hey Crowie. It looks to be a good bit of kit. It's not "trade" quality but I never expected it to be. It seems to me to be targeted towards hobbyists. I can't compare it to the Triton as I've no experience with that particular sander but I reckon they'll be about the same quality-wise. I reckon the Ridgid is better because it has a larger table and the has a mitre slot as I mentioned. If one was leaning towards the Triton, then IMO the better buy would be the re-badged (and therefore cheaper) versions of the Triton (e.g. Wen, etc).

Fleabay. The price has gone up by about US$25 from when I bought it and shipping is now US$30.
As for step down transformers, I always use isolating (Toroidal) transformers and not the cheaper electronic type. Cheers.

No it isn't
If you factor in delivery charges and transformers you'll be over $500. Last year I paid $200 for the belt/disk sander (note it has a disk sander as well) and $230 for the oscillating bobbin sander and I picked them up. If the combination unit was available I would have bought it but I'm now glad I didn't as I now have 3 sanding devices without the need to do a swap of units. If you have the space then I think separate units is a better way to go.
