What's on your wish list?
Couldn't sleep last night and started thinking about all the machines I'd like to restore over the next few years, thought it could be an interesting discussion. If money or space wasn't an issue, what would you have in the shop? Doesn't have to be ancient stuff, I just have a penchant for old iron
Waldown 8SN Drill Press
Hyco Scroll Saw
Delta Unisaw (will never find one in Australia unfortunately)

Don't get me started...
5-axis CNC router
CNC panel saw, preferrably the Altendorf that tilts both ways
Reverse-pulse dust extractor (minimum of 20kw, 30kw would be better) and totally re-done ducting
Quieter air compressor
An edgebander that isn't cr@p like the one we currently have
Fully rebuild the thicknesser; not replace, the old SCM L'Invincible is one of the greatest ever made
Ditto for the Jonsereds spindle moulder and Frommia powerfeed
Oscillating edge sander

Would you like fries with that?

The time to use the machines and the money to obtain the material to use it with.
I think decent dust extraction to make the use of the tools enjoyable. Perhaps add anti fatigue matting and / or decent seat to work on.
I will add a place to wash up before and after we have the fries.

A bigger shed is on my wish list but last on SWMBO's

What I wouldn't do for any shed right now! Was supposed to be looking for a new rental in February with a big garage or shed out the back but new job has skewered those plans. Not sure how I'm going to survive another 6+ months without a proper workspace

Restore "Bessie" the log loader to showroom condition. I'd really like two of them if I could find another.
Install a band resaw - a sawmill one, not a shop machine.
A big old patternmakers jointer would be nice. Why I dont know... because the day you need it you need it I guess.
I'd love a REX Timbermaster but would settle for a full rebuild on the Klein I have. She's a goodun... built to last forever

A Bicentennial Superliner would be nice!
Actually, excluding a Kara master system, a PCS vacuum kiln and a nice 6 head moulder most everything I want is old or older. I like older machines - mostly they're simple and (particularly with woodworking type machinery) built to last.
What I'd settle for: enough shed to fit all the stuff I already have into in some semblance of a normal work environment.

I'd like one of those machines many of my clients know about but don't know the name of. The machine which "just does it".

One of these:
That's the Mk. 2, ours is Mk. 1
We fitted a Shelix head to it, but the infeed roller has lost its bite, the pressure and anit-kickback fingers are so worn that they don't even touch on shallow passes and the table has a 0.5mm dip in the middle. Couldn't even guess at how many thousands of kms have been through it.
We've contacted SCM about getting new parts and they don't exist, so we'd either have to find one that's being stripped for parts or have them cast/fabricated and I bet that's mega dollars.

Made in Italy (early-mid 70s). It's a tank alright, all solid cast iron, took 4 of us to lift the top off for the Shelix swap.

Actually top of the dream list for me would be an enormous air conditioned shed to be able to have all the wonderful machines and many work surfaces.
