that defeats the purpose of being a men's shed ?
My understanding was the Men's sheds provide a place where men can feel included and safe. The aim of men's sheds was where older men could chat and work projects together.Men's sheds or community sheds are non-profit local organisations that provide a space for craftwork and social interaction. The movement originated in Australia around the 1980s as a way to improve the health and wellbeing of older men.

I would be against open slather access but I don't see how allowing women to occasionally use shed facilities defeats the primary purpose of mens sheds. None of the mens shed I visit that provide women access allow full membership to women. Typically they might have one or two women's days/half days a week and I know one shed that has one mixed day a week which is the most popular day for women and men. This probably has something to do with all the cakes and goodies brought along by the women for smoke. As far as I know women only have associate or non-voting right memberships.
