    Default Small wood turning lathe for pens - Wanted - second hand or new

    Hi
    I am after a small wood turning lathe just for pens. I mostly want to use it to apply CA glue to polymer clay pen blanks as a finish. I have no lathe experience so don't know size or specifications etc. Also I am female so even less about tools.

    Can anyone help with a second hand one or provide info regarding a dealer that could help here in Australia.

    A midi lathe would be ideal for what you want to do with it. One with electronic variable speed would be a definite advantage as changing speeds on a belt change model can be a bit of a pain if you have to do it regularly. Will you be turning the blanks as well and applying the CA finish? If you are only applying the finish then the variable speed won't be so important.
    There is a Woodfast for sale in the market place at the moment but its a bit far away from you, it being in Victoria and also includes a dust extractor.
    As far as suppliers around Brisbane go, you have these and probably others that I am not familiar with.
