    Default 3phase v 1phase tig?

I've just ordered a Kemppi 240v AC/DC machine but I'm having second thoughts over 1phase v 3phase. I don't have 3 phase power, so after looking at a few makes I decided on the Kemppi for its value for money power. My question is, should I get the 3 phase version, which by the way is slightly cheaper by a few hundred dollars, with more amps, 300 v 230A, but then cough up the extra $$, around $3000 for the 3 phase connection?

What do you plan to use your Welder for? Am i right to assume its an AC/DC 230Amp Tig/Stick inverter?

IF so no need for 3 Phase (Which in most cases would be a monumental waste of money) Single phase will do you fine...............................

Yes, Tig inverter. I probably wouldn't be working on anything heavier than 5mm aluminium but I was concerned about the amount of load on my essentially, residential supply. Cheers, Jeff
