    Default bitter taste in mouth

I've been doing a bit of brazing and welding lately, not a lot, just more than I normally do. I have had bitter aftertaste in my mouth from around the time I was doing the welding. I have no other symptoms though. Anyone else experienced this?

If you weld galvanised products they emit nasty fumes. Put a fan in a position that blows all fume away from where you work, this is usually what I do.

Is this the galvanised stuff you mentioned in another thread that everyone was warning you to grind?

Think it may have happened before I did the galvanised stuff and that was grinded before welding and was a small amount of welding only, so I don't think it was the cause.

brassing fluxes are bassed on borax ( i seem to remember) and may have other stuff in them, this might leave a bitter taste.

    ventilation, ventilation, ventilation.

Um.... havn't had a little stroke....not feeling vague or a little unco..........some people have a bitter taste in their mouths after a stroke..........not trying to panic or anything.

might have a chunk of metal in between you teeth or up your nose.

    cheers

    Most powertools have sharp teeth.
    People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.

Most probably need beer, an esential part of welding and hot metalwork, replace the fluids and get rid of any nasty tasts. Ok, ventilation and beer.
