    Default cigweld 195 trouble shooting help??

    got a second hand cigweld 195 does anyone know where the fuses are and what they look like???

    back of the machine panel?

    i got a CIG transtig and the fuses are at the back

    Dunno, but if it follows other CIG stuff I have or currently own, in the rear panel. They are in round plastic things that you should be open with a flat blade screwdriver.

    The Australian made CIG machines (like most Australian made things) were pretty unstoppable and worked even better with regular maintenance.

    If the fuses are blown you might be lucky, or your welder is stuffed. If the fuses are okay and nothing happens when you pull the trigger, you might have a sticky or RS contactor, which is essentially a big relay.

    Remember: there are dangerous voltages inside welders, and although it is not illegal to repair your own welder, if you have ANY DOUBT about what you are doing, leave it alone and pay someone else if you want it fixed. A few hundred dollars is not worth killing yourself for, but it is worth spending getting a good old machine going, much better than the Chinese sh#t you can buy today.
