Well, Wild Dingo seems to be happy with his.

I saw them in Bunnings at Granville the other day for $690 which I thought was a good price.

I was thinking of the Transmig 165 myself as it is the biggest in the range that can be used on a 10 amp power socket and is only about $100 dearer. Not sure whether Bunnings supply the 165 but I can't see why they wouldn't on special order.

There's a place near here in Bairnsdale that has access to CIG's ex factory repaired stuff. ie. Been returned on warranty to get fixed and exchanged to the original customer for a new one.The one returned is then repaired and this guy gets them and sells them. Still comes with 12 month warranty, and is apparently often only a broken knob or similar minor fault that is the issue - other than dumb operator no fault repairs which I dare say form part of the returns too.Anyway, he had 135's before Fathers Day for about $399 and the 165 for $499 from memory. Usually he has both in stock and when not on sale for Fathers Day they were $499 & $599 respectively.Dave

Don't know anything about that particular model, but if its anything like their 175, it will be a good 'un! Robust, reliable, and has copped both student and construction usage for well over 15yrs. I'd be battling to choose between the Transmig and a WIA (my home welder).
