    Gidday )

I work in heavy construction welding up to 40mm Plate we rarely use gasless flux core for Mig Welding.................... In fact we rarely use it at all!!!

GAsless Fluxcore is only used in our FAbshop for HArdfacing n occasional onsite jobs............

(I recently did a roller using fluxcore was fiddly to 'setup' and emitted a xtreamly dangerous gas n fine dust resulting in me having to wear a full facekit to protect me from the emissions which of course added to the enjoyment!!!!)

Seriously My recommendation would be to learn how to Tig N become a gun at welding with your plain old stick setups.....................This gives you the most versatile bows n your string to 'attack' any job required!!!

I don't like gassless MIG anyway, apart from the input from the other people, most of whom are spot on, I think it defeats the purpose of the process as you now have to deal with slag.

couldnt agree more with newlou, if you can stick weld and tig weld, you can do almost anything when it comes to fabrication work.

pity i never did get to do much tig, would have liked to, maybe i will buy one at some stage and mess about with it.
