And all of them will have better quality components than a $100 poobox machine.Regard this adventure as $100 worth of education.
My education was only marginally better in that I got the SIP welder for nothing, buggered around with disposable cylinders ( 8 minutes of gas time) and fitted a gas solenoid and a better torch.
All of the the components are made to a price,so you end up with only a marginally better unit.
After the inductor there is s the transformer which if it is the same as most cheapos ,will have only 4 voltage tappings. Then there is a solenoid, relay contactors, switches and on it goes. If its only a bit of welding needing a mig ,borrow or hire one,it is cheaper.
