"glueing" cast
Dont know if this is the correct area for this post, but here goes. One of the feet on a sliding compound mitre saw has broken, and as I cant weld thin cast metal is there a substitute glue I can use like chemiweld? Any info would be appreciated. Regards.....AL

Depending on the manufacturer, you'd be lucky to find that it was a weldable alloy in the first place (think of the same stuff that matchbox cars used to be made out of).
I've had success using one of the low temperature (LPG torch) aluminium brazing rods - the ones you see at some of the shows being demo'd on aluminium cans - to fix dodgy castings ( Durafix Australia - Aluminium Fluxless Repair Rods ).
Other than that, epoxy adhesive. Sand all 'to be glued' surfaces with 80 grit, put a patch over it to reinforce, and see how it goes.
