    True.
I really hate situations like this because I have a real personal dislike of the "ooh, I wouldn't have done that" or "you should have done ...." responses. At the same time I feel bad for the person who has been sold a less than ideal product and have got to be honest in pointing out the pitfalls that they were/are not aware of so they don't get bitten further.
I am actually somewhat amazed that you can still buy a welder that specs so poorly, given the way that inverter prices have dropped dramatically in the marketplace making them very affordable. I have seen Cigweld 130's go for around the $300 mark new.

    Hi,
I understand that some members will disapprove of my pick in the welder.
So far I have been using it and it has been working well and I am happy with it, which said earlier in the thread is "all that matters"

I do understand that this is not the top of the line welder, and an inverter would have been better, of course at a higher cost.

But understand I did not wish to spend much going in to something I did not know if I would like.

I am only wishing to do small jobs if this welder becomes unsuitable for the tasks I am doing then I can always get rid of this one and invest in a different welder.

Thank you for tips and advice.
I believe the thread has now served its purpose..

    Regards Bupton
    Regards Ben
