Help finding an off the shelf welding table (complete or as kit)
First post here. So a little about myself. I’m a motorsport guy who enjoys some fabrication. Been MIG welding for 10+ years but only realised I have WAY more to learn since upgrading my welders. Cigweld Turbo 135 to Cigweld Transmig 220i and adding a Bossweld TS200 AC/DC Tig (Bunnings vouchers).
I have a few tasks coming up that require a flat surface to setup the project, but my existing welding area isn’t up to scratch. I really don’t want to spend the time building a table, so I’m looking for either a complete table or easy to build kit that will give me lots of future options around clamps and repeatable jigs.
The options I’ve found that fit my budget (max $1,800) are both available locally, but only one is locally made. Something I’d prefer at this time.
https://fabricatorsmate.com.au/produ...welding-table/ FAB Mate 1200x720 - $1,633
W07834B - FBL60120-M CertiFlat fabBLOCK 3D Welding Table | Hare & Forbes Machineryhouse CertiFlat fabBlock 3D 1200x600 table - $1,705
Price wise, I’m surprised the local FAB Mate option is barely any cheaper than the certiFlat given it’s a heavy item that’s travelled the globe to get here. I’ve founds lots of info the certiFlat, but almost nothing on the FAB Mate.
Are there any options or considerations I can get help with?
