Default Wanted instruction brochure for welder Peerless HT180PW

Hi for those who responded to my last enquiry thank you.
I am now after a brochure with instructions for the Peerless 180 amp arc welder either an original, photocopy or via email attachment. I am not that proficient with welding and this machine has settings I am unsure of. Postage or charge is not a problem. Best regards

    Johncee,
Perhaps its unlikely that anyone may have have a set of instructions. If that's the case, are you able to take a photo and post it ? ( if I can post pics here ,then anyone can!)

If we can look at a piccy or two, we can can work out the controls and settings fairly easily for you.

Smile Peerless 180 amp arc welder owner

Hi, I have an older Peerless 160 and a newer Peerless 180 amp arc welder. These welders are good arc welders and the 160 amp has been used for over 10 years. The newer 180 now gives the 160 a bit of a breather but I couldnt part with it. I will need to have a closer look at the 180 but may be able to assist with what controls do what. The 160 has connections for higher and lower amperage welding but I have only ever used it for the heavier end of single phase 15 amp welding building trailers heavier shelving shed frames etc.
You may find the earth clamp and electrode holder a bit light on but still work well. The welder should give you a good run.
    Happy welding.

HI My Brother owns a Peerless 140 amp arc welder. It used to belong to our late Father. I still have the Instructions for it, they are on a double sideed piece of card 14.5 cm by 24 cm. The Instructions basically don't tell You that much. The important part of the Instructions is :
Connect earth lead to terminal marked work. Connect electrode lead to terminal marked 50 volts (my note - up to 140 amps on this voltage) General welding is for all mild steel welding.
Set choke control to the amperage marked on electrode packet.
80 volts (my note - upto 100amps on this voltage) special welding is for all special work-welding high tensile steel, hard facing cast iron, stainless steel and many other special electrodes, also sheet metal work.
I know on the later machines (My brothers would be about 20 to 25 years old) the voltage is 45 volt instead of 50 volt and 70 volt instead of 80 volt. If you want the Instructions that I've got let me know and I will send them to You. The website for Peerless is www.peerlessproducts.com.au . In reponse to Your other post My Late father actually bought the Peerless 180 amp arc welder first. He sold it because He thought it could only be run on three phase ie 415 volt or two phases ie 480 volt. He later found out he was wrong after he had sold it to a Mate (Log truck Driver). From memory the earlier (20-25 years ago) 180 amp Peerless could run on 240 V, 415 V and 480 V. It doesn't appear that the current Peerless 180 can though only the Current Peerless 220 amp. His Mate wanted him to take it back , but Dad said no the smaller one will do Me. The wiring info should be on the back or inside the Welder. If not consult an Electrician, Welder repair shop or Peerless. I hope this is of some help.
