I recently purchased a CigWeld 175i (Stick / Lift TIG / MIG) for $850 including delivery, plus the TIG gear to go with it for an extra $90 (not usually included in the kit). It came very highly recommended by a number of welding professionals, and apparently thats a really good price.

It does come with a 15A plug which may or may not affect you.

The credit card only just stretched far enough for the rediculous gas rental charges, but since I need really clean welds for most projects, I went for gas even though the 175i supports (and comes with) the fittings for gassless wire.

I'm hoping to power it up for the first time tomorrow to fabricate some 30x30x3 angle gate frames, so if you're interested I'll let you know how it performs.

Hi CodeFox, the CIG 175i is certainly on my list of potential MIGs and I would like to hear about your impressions of the welder.
The first step towards knowledge is to know that we are ignorant.
