Hi everyone,

I am a self taught TIG welder and I am pretty good if I am allowed to brag a bit.. My walking the cup action is very consistent and my welds turn out just fine and nice..

However I need to do some MIG welding now. I know how to MIG weld but I don't have many hours behind it. Maybe 80h of MIG welding work tops.
A friend of mine asked me to weld him a frame from regular box mild steel sections. He recently purchased a small MIG welder but he doesn't really feel confident to do it himself. However he forgot to buy the MIG welding wire .

I can easily weld that frame for him but I can not use my TIG welder because its a heavy machine and he lives in a different town so the only option is for me to use the MIG he bought recently. This is also not an issue because I will weld that frame in place in no time.

But I was wondering which welding wire to buy? Before when I was doing MIG I had some generic wire provided for me and it wasn't really good. It felt quite inconsistent so I would like to buy something better for this job. He is a friend so I want to do this right . I read here Best MIG Welding Wire [Reviews and Comparison Table 2020] that they recommend some INEFIL wire but I am unsure of it. Did anyone use it?

I am actually torn between Hobart's wire and this INEFIL's wire. For Hobart I am sure that it will be good but I would still like to ask for the opinion.

Also which brand would you recommend? I am highly open to suggestions!

I will probably need a small spool of 0.030" or 0.035" but even if I have to buy a big spool it is also not a problem. I will gift the rest of the wire to him to learn how to weld
