Forgive me everyone I have made a huge mistake. I purchased a Rossi 130amp welder generator not realising the amperage cannot be adjusted. It has a 1000w generator and only weighs 25kg. I have a workshop full of welders and was hoping this little unit would allow me to do some onsite repairs and the odd bit of fencing. My generator is only a 6kva unit so not big enough to run a 140amp inverter welder so I thought this little unit would fit the bill. It will be ok for welding anything 4.8mm & over but a most of the time I will be using 2.5 rods on 2-3mm pipe etc. I want 70-80 not 130. Does anyone know if a potentiometer can be fitted or some other method of reducing current. The supplier is no help, only order takers with no technical advice. Appreciate any help
