How did you go Steve, did you get the MIG you were looking at?
Personally, if I could afford one, I would go the TIG, their just so versatile. TIG welding is not too differcult and the finish is awesome. (ex sheetie here)

welder
hi bought a token tools tig -dc welder,about 12 months ago for stick welding ,and find it great for 2.5and 3mm rods , the on off switch went on and and stayed there .but fixed it self go figure? so easy to carry around for shed building and general work . plenty of power too around 130 amps , and suits my light fabrication well.have not tried a mig as bottle rental is not justified , cheers bob
