Newbie says hi :)
Hi guys,
Been loitering around for a little while and thought it was time to join up.
Have just bought a Unimig Procraft 240 to do work on cars, and as a cyclist give bike / trike and even recumbent building a go.
Thanks for all the great info so far.
Ben
p.s. Any chance of making the welding course threads sticky?

Have the same unit. Seems to go ok for a cheapie.
Cant say I have run mine on gas yet, still using gasless.
Found the Binzal torch fine for what I do. Spares are easy to find.
Opening the side door can help on a hot day.
Better stop before I hijack this. Enjoy playing around with itwww.lockwoodcanvas.com.au
I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.
From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
Will get some pics of projects and the likes up soon, first thing to cut my teeth on is to fix up my extractors/headers.
Using .8mm wire on 2mm steel tubing - does this sound about right? Where is the cutoff point for going back to .6mm wire?
cheers,
Ben
