    Default Plasma Cutter

    Blokes

    Anyone out there ever used a BOC Smoothcut 40 Plasma cutter. Strictly DIY at this end, max thickness I will be cutting is 3mm plate.

    Nope and sorry for the late reply. That said, I've never seen a plasma that can't cut 3mm.

    Its an ok machine especially if your just cutting 3mm
    I wouldn't recommend it if you do much cutting over 8mm
    I've cut 4mm alu and stainless with it and it worked very well
    compare it against the unimig cut 40 and get the cheaper of the two
