    Default Plasma torch parts

Trying to get some torch parts for a transplasma AP 30 Air Plasma Cutter. Have been onto local branch of BOC who could not source them from Cigweld. Not sure if it was a Brisbane based Cigweld and if they have a national data base of parts available. The machine is no longer made having been manufactured in the 1990's. We can get the diffuser and one other part but not the other two.

Anyone out there with any suggestions?

    torches are usually machine specific.

Have you tried any online sources, maybe even ebay?

We regularly fit generic torches to machines when customers either get sick of paying a premium for consumables or can no longer get them. Determine if your torch is pilot or not and then adapt any generic torch to it. Although torches are specific to machines this is done to lock the customer into buying specifically high priced consumables. Torches are otherwise easily adapted between different plasma manufacturers.

Sounds like a PT-31 torch would do the job no worries at all.
These can be had very cheaply from 6shop river on Ebay and the consumables
Are very very cheap from the same supplier at about $40 for a 250 piece kit.
Just a very happy customer no affiliation with the company.

ThankS Matthew. Is that a click start torch? I think that is what they are called. Spoke to Pete from Tokentools Welding but he did not have a generic one as a replacement. Unless someone can help the machine will have to be written off. Perhaps someone may have an unused torch sitting around in a shed somewhere, but that may be wishful thinking.

RVK-355. Would that be a click start torch or a trigger start one?

    Cool Ap30 torch parts list

    Hi gents,
This should clear things up a bit as you can see from the list below the main consumable parts are still available. You may want to try another CIGWELD distributor as BOC can be reluctant to reload old parts on their system so they just tell you its obsolete.

#676502 ELECTRODE (PACK 5) still available
    #676505 SPRING OBSOLETE
    #676504 INSULATING SLEEVE still available
#676501 CUTTING NOZZLE DRAG TIP still available
    #676503 DIFFUSER still available
    #676507 HANDLE OBSOLETE
    #676508 POWER/GAS CONDUIT 4M OBSOLETE

We can get 67503, 676501 but also need 676504 which you say is available and 67505 which you say is unavailable but we may be ale to adapt with that. So Johnny which Cigweld office holds part 67505. You may have almost solved our problem.

    Default Ap30 torch parts list

    Hey Kidbee,

Looks like I stuffed up here #646504 actually is no longer available from CIGWELD..... BUT back in the day this torch was made by ABICOR BINZEL (Office in Melbourne) and they should still have stock.

BINZEL like CIGWELD do not sell direct to the public but you can give them a ring and they can give you the product codes that match your torch and tell you who to order the parts from. Talk to Keith or Stewart at Binzel you will need to tell them which CIGWELD machine and torch you have.

    Default Uncle Buck

We had a Thermal Dynamics plasma where I worked a few years ago hand piece spare parts became extinct so we had to replace the whole lot from plasma to hand piece and it cost a arm and a leg. So I wish you luck brother in your search.

    Buck.
