Questions about CIG 175i
Hi guys,
I've been reading through a few threads and people have said they are happy with their 175i. I am planning on buying an inverter CIG 3 in 1 mig unit, or maybe a unimig 3 in 1 welder but have a few questions.
How does it go as far as a mig? Does the wire feed unit work smoothly? Does it produce a nice stable arc when using solid wire and gas?
I have only really used a cheap gasless mig (POS!) and 3 phase BOC and Kemppi mig, will these types of welders compare to the 3 phase mig in terms of smoothness?
I know for the same price I can buy a weldskill 250A mig however the size difference is enough to put me off from that.
For duties around the house such as making benches, side steps for my 4wd etc will the 175A be sufficient or should I fork out the extra 200$ for the 200A?
Thanks in advance
Simon
