Default Removing seized feed roller on WIA Weldmatic 150S?

Hello to all. I have acquired a WIA Weldmatic 150S MIG welder. It is in good servicable condition, apart from one problem. It is fitted with a 0.6mm feed roller that I want to change out for a 0.9mm roller but I just can't get the existing 0.6mm roller off its spindle. I suspect that over time it has seized onto the spindle. Has anyone had such a problem? I was thinking I could use a small gear puller and a tapping hammer to try and release it from its spindle. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers!

I'd probably try a bearing or gear puller first too. I think the wheel is plastic? I might try some gentle heat but you'd have to be careful you did not damage anything.

If they are anything like the wire feed on the WIA 205, then they are a cantankerous little beast!
We had one at a previous employer and the woodruff key in the shaft used to move and act like a cam lock. I would start by a good application of penetrating oil of your choice and then a small gear puller if it will fit. Failing that, a pry bar of large screw driver to apply leverage and a few smart raps with a hammer to hopefully break things loose. If your key is cam locking as I described, you will need to persevere and work things back and forwards until you get the roller off.
Be careful using heat. Lots of bad things could easily happen.
