Geoff, I don't know of any orthopedic surgeon who would attempt knee surgery on themselves! And, why did you want to read up on the knee procedures anyway? Isn't it the same as someone asking what cable might be used for a 15A outlet?

Oh, with respect to Darwin awards, I do hope your need for knee reconstructions wasn't due to self inflicted injuries.

Yes it is quite amazing...I do some of my own work but it usually limited to installing a plug on a cord or a plug on a machine, just simple stuff...Although I know I am capable of doing more and do so from time to time..

Interestingly enough, there is no law against that You have to be licensed to do it as a contractor but anyone can install a new plug on their own equipment. The law extends only to installations permanently connected to the supply - eg. a hard-wired electric stove versus a plug in microwave oven.

So I could then ask the ortho more relevant questions with regard to operation, rehab, and ongoing care.

Not quite, I was doing preliminary research so I could then ask an expert, rather than ask a bunch of anonymous "experts" on an internet forum and ignore the good advice that was given of asking a real expert.

Course they were, and I now know that you don't fall off at around 70mph when water skiing.
