First time I've tried this. It's a cast alloy cutting deck from a Greenfield mower. As you can see a piece of the deck broke completely out. I cleaned it up, prepped it and then left the whole thing sitting in the Bundaberg sun for several hours. It got so hot you couldn't hang onto it for too long but I still heated the area further with a propane torch before welding both sides with 3.2mm 4043 rods. Electrode positive and 130 amps. It ain't pretty but it gets the job done.
