Tokentools welders
I have been using the forum to find info on a mig welder and came across a thread that was started in 08 about inverter v transformer welders. One of the posts was from Peter at token tools. I checked the website and found they offered 5 year warranties. That caught my eye so I rang to ask and found good ol Pete at the end of the line. He spent a good 20 mins explaining how the machines worked and dealing with some of the comments made by various salespeople I had talking to me from BOC, CIG etc. I haven't bought any of his machines but I found him really helpful and the idea of an inverter machine for $900 delivered with a 5 year warranty sounds pretty good at this stage. I know this was an old thread but I was wondering if anyone has had one of the tokentools welders for a while and how it is holding up over time? Pete says he feels confident offering a 5 year warranty based on returns and service requests, but I guess only real time will tell.

Hi dd and welcome to the forum. If you do a search of this forum I'm sure you'll find a number of threads (actually search for "posts" rather than threads) on tokentools machines (not any specific on the mig machines that I recall though). I can't remember any negative comments at all and certainly my TIG/Stick/Plasma machine which I've had for 3 years now has been a good buy.
Cheers

Thanks
Mick, thanks for both the welcome and the advice. Having learned how to search the site I think I can find a bit of info without starting new threads. Looks like Tokentools has a good reputation.

dd, you might be interested in this thread https://www.woodworkforums.com/f160/me-mig-168449/. As I've just bought one of the tokentools MIG welders and will probably have more comments on the machine as time goes on
Cheers
