I take it you're talking about a 250 as you state in your post, not a 150 as in your thread title?
Mate has a 250 that he has been getting a few years on now and it has been a good reliable machine
For a $1k, I'd be grabbing it as long as it comes with full warranty and is transferable.Cheers

a great machine..dont quote me but i think there is only one other in the range that is bigger on single phase. 270 or 275 i think. you can do almost anything with that provided the power stays up to it. i have welded alot of alloy with this same model machine... the only better that i have used is the essab. at that price it is a steal. the 15 kg wire rolles are cheeper to by as well. this size machine is better with gas..not to say you cant use gassless wire though. i found the bigger welders "240 and above " work nicer with the 0.8 wire expecilly when you have the grunt to push it. it will also weld thin plate as well dont worry. i think your on a winner.

In that case, grab it. It is a good machine, as I said, a mate has one and it welds very nicely.
Only reason I mention to get it warranty is if it was brand new and from a shop, then make sure you get it, but if from someone who is clearing out their workshop, well different story.Cheers

What's wrong with the Lincoln welder apart from being a stick? There are usually very reliable and built like a brick shyte house.
