    Default Welder/s Gloat

Sorry to do this to you Members, but I HAVE to tell you about a recent welder purchase I made. Now, firstly I have to say I'm perfectly happy with the welders that I have, so I wasn't on the lookout for another one.

But when I saw an ad on Ebay for three welders .....

"You are bidding on a job lot of three mig welders-

    1 x Migomag 240

    1 x CIG Transmig 300

    1 x Murex Muramig 300

All with associated spare parts & on trolleys.

    Unfortunately cannot be seperated.

All were working but have not been used for approximately 3-4 years."

I had to jump on it. As it turns out they all work, the two big ones had been used for aluminium and one had a full reel still, and the MigoMag had been used for steel. The two big ones had cobramatic push pull wire feeders.

    $250 buy-it-now.

do you have to be sorry about? Congratulations, enjoy your win.

I've scored a few bargains like this. It is the reward for being vigilant and decisive when it counts.

Perhaps one of the best ones was what I thought was a water chiller for drinking water and bid on it accordingly. (I was actually after a water chiller). Only bidder, got it for $20. I didn't think Ingersol Rand made water chillers, but what the hell?

Got it home, went looking for a destruction manual on the internet, turns out it is a refrigerated compressed air dryer, something a backyard spraypainter could usually only dream about owning.

    Gloat away buddy!! Well done.

Nice score, there is always lots of welder bargins on ebay, but they are always more then likley 3 phase units, wich for most of the average person at home they arnt always a viable option.

how that you have 3 migs what is the plans, hobby work, work around the farm/yard, open your own fab shop!

Two were three phase, and the Migomag single. My brother kept the Transmig, and I'm keeping the Murex. The Migomag is "floating". My brother paid the $250, so I did even better!
