    Default welders and plasma cutters

Hi there everyone am just wanting to know if I could get some help with a welder and plasma cutter. My father died a little while ago and we are starting to sell off some of dads tools and machinery he has a Cigweld Transtig 160i welder and a Plasmacem plasma cutter. We have a buyer for both of these but are unsure of what welding rods go with what and if there are any parts that go with either of these machines.they are both used and in good conditon. We dont wanto rip the buyer off or ourselves but can anyone suggest prices on these for us? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

You know, instead of selling to people you know, it's often better to put these things on ebay and let the market determine the price. It's an unfortunate fact of life that people like to take advantage of people in your position. A few good photos and a description of the circumstances on ebay is all you would need.

Generally speaking, the plasma cutter parts will be made up of consumables that fit around the tip of the torch. Undo the end of the torch and look at the components, and you should find replacement tips and so on among-st your dad's gear.

    Good luck with it.

Thanks for your reply but these welders were about to be sold to the buyer just before dad died and unfortunately no prices or anything were discussed with the buyer. Thanks very much and think the rest of dads tools will more than likely go on ebay.

Hello, can you give some more specs and condition/age of the two machines, photos??. Not really enough info to make a judgement on their value.
