I'm modifying a BSA centrestand, made from Malleable Iron, to HT Steel which is a lever which you stand on to help get the bike up on the stand. and I'm advised that arc will will do the job (I have a small inverter arc welder). OR: Brazing maybe? -I have only MAPP gas which is good for smaller stuff but I'd be dubious about getting enough heat into the mass of iron. Any advice? If I arc weld it would 2mm electrode be sufficient? ;img src="https://metalworkforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=398998&stc=1" attachmentid="398998" alt="" id="vbattach_398998" class="previewthumb">
