The green colour is "Eau de Nil" & is supposed to be the most neutral colour for your eyes. When I was an apprentice in the early 80's, the factory where I worked had every machine painted in that colour. I even have a workbench in my shed with the green vinyl surface, which was an elecronic assembly bench at another place I once worked. I also spent many years drawing on green boards before CAD came along, but I still have my bench to remind me of "the good old days"
