    Default Bench drill hand powered

I was so happy to have scored this drill and in working condition. I'm interested to understand how old they are.

My plans are to spray with degreaser and then either scrub clean or pressure blast.
For the wooden handle I thought cleaning and then some Danish oil.
For the metal I would like to restore to original. Can anyone advise me or give me links to what colours or otherwise they had?

    Cheers,

Does it have any markings? Brand, patent # or date?

I bet you will have plenty of paint to look at once you get the 100 years of grime off.... It may actually be in decent shape under all that.....

Looks a lot like a Goodell Pratt #9 Bench drill that has had the base snapped off and a bar welded on for a repair.
