Default After date of MacPherson wheeling machine.

I have looked in my 60s catalogues with no luck.
Doe any one know when these were made?

Are you trying to date that particular machine or find something similar??

There was a guy on the forum making the patterns for a reproduction one to go into manufacture.

Just interested in when these were made.

    I am that guy.
The wheel in the pics is in a panel shop in Sydney.
There is a similar one in Tomasini's shop in Melbourne.
I hadn't seen one before I made the patterns.
Can't believe how similar my design is to the earlier one.
Currently doing a few mods to the pattern before the next batch of castings.
I have a MacPherson branded Jenny and find it interesting that also isn't in their catalogues but John Heine are.

I have found a picture of the same (?) machine in the 1951 and 1955 catalogues. Nothing in 37 and 49 catalogues.

    Clear out,
I also have a 56 page promotional book published in 1944. It says in that, "In 1938 the machine tool interests of E. P. Bevan & Son Pty. Ltd. were merged with those of McPherson's Pty. Ltd and a separate Company -- ASSOCIATED MACHINE TOOLS AUSTRALIA PTY. LTD was formed to handle machine Tool manufacturing activities."
This might give you another avenue of searching!?

Thanks anglesmith for looking thru them for me.
I have a 34,37,?,60,64,66 and a later one with some 7 digit phone numbers in Sydney and Melbourne but mainly 6 digit, it has a price of $2 on the inside cover.
The ? Has its cover missing and has several pages re price fluctuations and a note about import restrictions on American hand saws? Late 30s early 40s perhaps.
Could you scan the pages with the wheeling machine for me?
I mean to scan the Macson/Barker wood machinery at some stage but it will be a big job.

No problem scanning the Wheeling machine pages, will pm you. The ? catalogue you have is likely to be 1949, The "no American saws" box is on page 270.
There were no catalogues published between 37 and 49, well at least I haven't seen any yet!
Your $2.00 catalogue is I think the brown coloured 1968, the last comprehensive one they published ?
