    Despite the incident with the lathe it was a still a good day because I finally got the drill apart. Just need to remember not to let your guard down with machines! Safety First.

    I was going to wai until I had it mounted on a new board but here is what it is looking like back in working condition. Just missing the little pawl.








    Along way from the seized (every joint, part, shaft, etc) chunk of rust it started as, no original paint on it!

    I'm still not sure about the colour though. Maybe "no ... paint on it" had some merit

    Took a rotten old piece old red gum sleeper out of the garden, planed both sides about 10mm each and applied some BLO…..
