It went to a new home
Dad gave it to one of my friends who's just starting to enjoy woodworking. It turned out to be a fortunate break for the Durden. You see, dads garage burnt down on Friday - electrical fault in a timer switch they think. He lost the lot. A lifetime of tools. Both his from his apprenticeship onward and all of his father's tools (except the few he passed in to me). Sad day really.

Very sad to hear good thing you got something but to lose the tools you had from your apprentice days would be a great loss.
Condolences Rod.

Pete,
Sorry to hear this, its items like the old tools of sentimental value that must hurt the most to lose (insurance just can't replace that), at least no one was hurt.
Cheers,
Camo
