    Default It's on again folks!

The HTPAA tool sale is on again this weekend people. Saturday 1800 to 2030 for members and Sunday 0900 until 1230 for everyone else. Usual venue at Glenferrie primary school. Sixty plus tables of good stuff and hundreds of smiling faces and tool chat all over the place. I'll be there in my usual place (Titan corner) with barrow loads of chisels, as will heaps of other guys and girls selling an immensely wonderful and fabulous variety of rare and not so rare old tools. Need I say that these will be sold to appreciative buyers for good prices. Consignment tables abound and bargains are assured. Be there!

    Why ?
There's been a tool sale in Sydney since 1986.
Matter of fact that's a few years prior to the Melbourne club starting theirs.
Its even on the North Shore to save you that trip south.

    Hi Hiroller

I've been to the last two as a punter and they were great. Think I might book a couple of tables for the next one. Make a bit of a short break out of it. Who do I contact?

There's a link on the website. At the bottom of the home page there's a link/note about the sale in red. Click the link and follow your nose from there. The last number of years single tables have been $40.

    Cheers,

Default Its over but on again in November

The HTPAA sale last weekend was well attended, especially on the Sunday morning. I saw a lot of happy punters making their way out of the hall clutching bags of goodies. I picked up a few collectable grade Titans and met a few formites cruising the tables. Being a TT I usually restrict my purchasing to my obsession but every now and then I crack and get sucked into buying something I don't need. This time it was a couple of Rabone guages. A wire guage and another more general one. I love small, cute, intricate stuff and these beaut little tools played right into my court. There was a time when I carried a wire guage in my top pocket ("what's the SWL of this wire Mr Mate") but these days I have no use for them what so ever. Why do I do this? I have drawers full of these do-hickies. Crazy. I guess bottom line, I am a weak and pathetic creature who needs a keeper at tool sales.

Anyway the next sale is on the 7/8th of November, same place. Lock it in as they say.Wire guages.jpg

Seem to recall about $100 for the Stanleys and $80 for the Carter but don't quote me. Noticed that some only had one blade though not the three. I think Hans sold one but I'm not sure. I was too busy flogging Titans.

I saw them also but did not check prices. A couple of them looked as though they needed cleaning up. I bought one in pretty good nick about 18 months ago for $90 at the antiques and collectables fair at Maldon.
