Just do it Matt. I need to watch you blokes making planes so I don't need to make another one myself.
Oh, and I like the style of the one you're looking at.

Matt, you are wise to resist . . . .Infill Shoulder Group c.jpg
Some years ago, I brought an infill block plane as a project plane . . . it's still awaiting the roundtoit . . . 20181021_123630.jpg
Then I got a little 1/2" Infill shoulder plane, as a "shelf queen" for my office. I think it's a bronze body with a steel base, maybe rosewood infill. Hefty for it's size (130l * 12.7w * 55h( 5 1/4 * 1/2 * 2 1/8))
Infill Shoulder 12.7mm Bronze c.jpg
This year at TTTG sale in Feb I spied an orphan steel body Infill at a reasonable price, so it had to come home . . . 280l with the blade cover * 28w * 65h (11 * 1 1/4 * 2 1/2)

Whist perusing another stall, I saw a set of perfect handle screw drivers.

After I brought them I asked about the prices of 2 infill planes, a Norris Jack size was way out of scope, but the Infill Shoulder plane was in haggle range . . . so we haggled for a few seconds and both of us were happy with the price.
Infill Shoulder 36mm Gunmetal c.jpg
It's a Gunmetal or bronze behemoth, 315l with the tail * 36w * 110h (12 46/127 * 1 1/4 * 4 1/8)
Now I call these "Shelf Queens" as I do not intend to use them, but they all take a nice shaving and it will take me a matter of minutes to hone the blade for them to earn their keep.

There’s no chance of resistance now Matt. The seed has been planted

Let me increase the pressure even more. Yes, Matt, you should definitely build that plane. Or else I have to give in and start my next plane. If only I haven't such a back log of other projects.
Go, Matt, go!
