Just wondering if anyone has thought about how these old - or new - machines come into arranging home and contents insurance.
Thanks,
Paul.

Hi Paul,
I have just re Insured our home & contents, & put a fair bit on the tools & machinery side, as you most likely not get the same tools or machinery back again ie. fire or theft.
We went with APIA this time, & you should check, as I think you have to be age 50 or better.
When We were with that other crowd, I took 88 Photos of what we had & the Insurance Group had them.Regards,
issatree.

Hi Paul,
I work in insurance here in SA. Generally you will just need to make sure that your contents Sum Insured is high enough to include replacement cost for all your tools. The only couple things to be aware of:
1. Check your PDS (Little book explaining the policy) to see if they have limits for tools before you have to list stuff individually,
2. You will have more trouble getting it covered if your use it for financial gain as they will become "tools of trade"
Hope this all helps.
Ben
