    Default Another jeffwood bandsaw

    Hi,

Saw this flicking through gumtree, thought I would put it up, just in case you are missing a part that might be in one of the pictures. Looks the same although your bandsaws cast body seems to have oval holes that I can't see in these photos with the doors open (and it is hard to tell scale)?

    cheers,

    Thanks Camo.
    Looks in pretty good nick.
It does`nt appear to have any holes in the back like mine.
I`m wondering if mine might be a bit older as mine does`nt have a badge or even holes where the badge is on this one.
It looks about the same size. All the other internals appear to be the same.

    Regards

    Ross.

I have the same band saw, except mine does not have the holes in the rear castings. Exceptional machine. Blade length I use, if you are interested is 4930mm.

    Thanks Jim. Appreciate that.
Have you ever had tyres done? I have to get them revulcanised.

No, the machine was in perfect order when I bought it. I did replace all the bearings, from memory that cost me about $53.00. I did ring Jeffress in Brisbane about its history but it was late and I haven't tried again.

Final coat of paint went on today.
Got the tilting mount block fitted.

    Table is now mounted.
    016.jpg017.jpg018.jpg

Gave the table another dose phosphoric acid treatment. Bottom half has been done. Top half is still in the process.

Next is to get doors painted. Then pull wheel mounts off and clean inside. Then get wheels sorted.

My machine is green on the outside but red on the inside. Have to wonder is this to camouflage blood?

Been offline for a bit. Good ol computer giving me grief. Got a bit more done on the bandsaw recently. Basicly waiting on me buying bearings now. 008.jpg005.jpg006.jpgI`ve found another great use for the bandsaw table. Perfect height for building my guitar.060.jpg101.jpg106.jpg

Great to see the table is being put to good use. Did you get lucky with the bearings, are they a standard size, or did you need to sit down when quoted the price?

    Cheers,

    Camo
