How the weather been. Here we have had a hard winter and the apple tree are flowering now. The mice have eaten the base of all sapling to make it through. they have been protected by the deep snow from the birds. All profound lessons to learn don't you think?

Weathers been great down here. Autumn is the king of seasons in Sydney....clear skies, no winds and mid 20's by day, low teens by night. Just lovely.

I think you have made a great decision and purchase.

Unfortunately I can't be any help with your questions. I tried looking at some of my catalogues for other english alternatives, to at least give you some other theoretical options, but without success.

Camo i did notice that in that Sagar tooling you posted in the great white north they only make mention of bars a sprockets and in only 2 pitches. One wonders if Reynolds had the patent and market for chain and all the makers had to use Reynolds?

Any one know when the 3 pitches were offered?

I have 2 Robinson tooling catalogues, the series 14T & 15T which both have 0.54, 0.62 & 0.89 pitch. I don't have a date on these, but they both show guarding on a Robinson NC so I am guessing 1940's? (very happy to be corrected on this date). They are possibly not early enough to give an answer, but it is a start.
