Default pic's of Thomas McPhersons bandsaw

Here's the pic's of the Thomas Mcphersons bandsaw for Melbourne Matty, sorry for the late post scrounging has been very good at the moment so I've been flat out.
I got it to recut larger timber down ( sleepers etc ) to make outdoor tables & stuff, I use to run large bandsaws in a sawmill so this is a smaller one to me though as you can see in the pic's it just fits in my shed
if ya need more pic's let me know.

    Scrounger,
When Matty, Rob & I saw that machine, I thought it was very much like mine apart from the separate feet.
It seems to me those castings were made by another company, and supplied to machine makers all over Melbourne.
With some variations, that pattern was branded with various names.
Here is my bandsaw, very much a "Barker" style, but branded by dealer called S. Robertson.
You can just see the oval name plate on the "C" just below the upright, before I cleaned the grey paint off it.
This picture is in my old shed.....there is plenty of space around it now in thew new shed..yippee!!!

    Hi Scrounger,

Thanks for the pic's, it is a very nice bandsaw indeed, I have been flat out my self and have been dying to jump on to this one ...

Scrounger I have my doubts wether Thomas McPherson made such a saw in Australia in the early turn of the century, or at least the name plate suggests at least that McPhersons were merchants at the time not manufactures.
I some times do a little digging on the US sites and this Silver manufacturer comes up from time to time and has a very similar bandsaw in their 32 inch size.
Love to hear you thoughts on the similarities !!

some great looking bandsaws there .
Matty I'd say your on the money with those two pic's it looks a dead ringer to the second one.
just spotted another old saw the same size round the corner from me sitting outside a factory but having 4 working & two non working bandsaws sitting in my shed already I think I'll pass this one by .
hopefully I'll get some time to use em soon.
    thanks for the reply's
