Old Plane - Anyone know what it is?
Hi all,
My father works at a local community museum and someone has donated an old wooden plane. It's a bit of a mystery as to what type it is, and we are keen to learn more about it's origins, and what it may have been used for.
Would anyone care to offer an opinion or insight into what type of plane this is? My guess is some kind of shoulder plane, but I'm not sure what all the extra 'handles' etc are for.

It’s a wooden plough plane, unfortunately missing all the irons. The “handles” are fence rods that slide in and out of the body to set the fence the desired distance away from the iron and are locked into place with wedges.
Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.
