Queanbeyan Swap Meet
This weekend is the annual Queanbeyan Swap Meet. I try to go every year, and always see some pretty awesome old machines and tools for sale. It's held in conjunction with a US Car Show.
Last year I went looking for rasps and a saw vice and got both
This year braces & bits
Anyone else here going?

Everything i read about it seems to be car related, there are other old wood tools there also?
I like that sort of stuff anyway so i may take the kids for a bit of an outing

Queanbeyan Swap Meet
I'll be there - Plenty of tool interest - last year picked up some gouges and a decent fray brace, Year before was good for saw files.
If anyone is coming there is a lot of other stuff on - Queanbeyan Park, across the road, has the family fun day and the first day of the Queanbeyan Gift (2 Day event) second biggest professional foot race meeting in Australia
Part of the centre of town is closed off for the evening for more events and entertainment and its all within a 15 minute from my house.
Check qcc.nsw.gov.au for details

I'm going!!!
I confirmed it with my adult supervisor and have a bit of pocket money for the morning.
I'll take my youngest along too, to checkout the cars afterwards. It's going to be a great day

Loot!!!
Well,
I was hoping for some auger bits for my brace and scored all this for a total of $20!

I am looking forward to cleaning them up and putting them to good use

Cleanup Results
Well,
I soaked these in vinegar for a week and then ran over them a wire brush wheel. Won't take much to sharpen the old auger bits.

Some nice bits there, I find the ones with out the "wings" a bit limited in use as they cause too much tear out. Good for carpentry work though.
