Aaaa.
Ironwood I was looking for number (6) today,
An was thinking I may have to PM you, an beg for forgiveness!!! I couldn’t even find the bloody saw [emoji3064][emoji3064][emoji3064].
I was actually going too see if I could get Sally to contact you, an have her explain her Husband’s short comings.
So that’s a relief.
I will fix the list an process your order ready for the packaging department(about 300 mm left on the workbench)
Cheers Matt.

Matt
I hope everybody appreciates the work you have done with the packaging: Actually I'm sure they do appreciate your efforts, but just for those who have never had to package up a handsaw, they really are a sod of a product. Being long and thin it is not easy to find ready made boxes so improvisation is the name of the game. I always reckon that keeping the saws snug within the packing is half the trick and it looks like that is just what Matt has achieved.
I expect that everyone of you is excited about the treasure trove that awaits you. It is a bit like Xmas come early. Just occasionally a saw gives up it's secrets when you apply a little cleaning around the etch region and that is probably the biggest buzz of all. I can't promise that this will happen for all the saws: In fact it probably won't for most: Neither can I give any degree of assurance that the earth will move for you (Was Ernest Hemingway a collector of handsaws?). The best we can hope for is a huge grin and that you won't suffer a simultaneous cardiac arrest that the undertaker cannot remove, giving rise to all sorts of conjecture as to what you were involved in at the time. Let me tell you nobody will believe you were restoring a hand saw . There again at that point you probably won't be caring .
Again my utmost thanks to Matt for initiating this thread and particularly to Sally for all the original pix, taking only a few moments off in the middle of the proceedings to barrack for Richmond and generally keeping Matt on track. Sally, I owe you a bottle of wine or any other favourite beverage.
I should add that I am looking forward to seeing some of these saws restored. I really don't expect them all to be restored: Some just won't make the cut (sorry, sorry )

Well, if no one else wants them, and if you haven’t packaged my bundle already Matt.
I’ll take 62 & 102 as well. They look like they will still be useful to me.Brad.

Hey Matt, if it's too much trouble to add them, don't worry about them.
But if you can just tape them to the outside maybe, I will take them.Brad.

No! That fellow has far more self confidence than I do. I choose quiet dignity instead.
