Thanks Matt.
Delayed due to the fires I can accept. But still find it strange that they made it as far as Brisbane, then did a 180 degree turn, and went back to Sydney. I appreciate that they want to keep the saws safe, but I don’t think they were in harms way if they waited for the fires to go out sitting at the parcel depot in Brisbane.
I am making a trip to town this afternoon to drop off a lounge suite to my son, I was going to drop into the PO and inquire , I have a pretty good rapport with the lady that owns the PO, so might still drop in.Brad.

Just got back from town, I dropped into the PO while there. The lady looked up the tracking number, she seemed to get more info than I can get.
Her screen showed that it went to Redbank Brisbane on the 13th, back to Chullora NSW on the 14th, then back to Redbank on the 18th, the comment beside that entry was “ item removed from container “, there are no more entries after that except where I put it on my watch list to get email notifications when it is scanned.
She offered to chase it up further through her system, but I said that seeing as it seems to be heading in this direction again, I would leave it for a few more days to see what happens.
Another lady in the line behind me, said that she also has a parcel being held at Redbank, presumably because of the fires.Brad.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to say my saw package has arrived safely. However I am currently travelling and won’t get to see them until at least the third of December.
I hope that other packages make it to all homes.
Thanks again Matt

oh yeah, mine were collected safely last weekend from the PO. Unwrapped and looked at, but that's it. Now to figure out what to do next to them
Oh and Matt, wondering if you're a sparky or not? My dad was one and I almost died when I saw how much electrical tape there was around the package

Not this year, or the next, or anytime after that .
I lodged an inquiry with APost last Thursday, finally got a response today.

They have mentioned compensation, but will probably want proof of costs etc. I am out of pocket for the postage and $1 per saw, but the package was worth much more to me than that.
I guess if I can get my costs back, I can buy a carton of beer or a litre of Bundy Rum and drown my sorrowsBrad.
