    Ahem!

Not even a new plate. Jus cut away the old toothline with a thin cutting disc on an angle grinder and re-tooth and you have a dovetail saw. At least one person was looking for such a beast and was willing to re-tooth. (Post #6)

Or a large pair of tin snips will do it

O an I’ve waited so long for this day
    Because I’ve done it.
But really only in the thinner plate stuff.
An avaivation snips won’t work [emoji55][emoji55][emoji55]

Matt, could you please add 58, 71 & 47 to my pile.
I think that should about do me, unless another dovetail saw comes up.

Dang, I go away for the morning and Lance slips in and takes my dovetail saw project!

    Next time....!

You're not kidding. Thursday was a public holiday here, so took Friday as well and went into the NE Tas wilderness. I saw this thread at one spot that had reception and thought "rehabbing saws, surely there won't be much interest in them, I'll check again when I get home in a couple of days" ...

It was a nice surprise to see all the takers, but bitter sweet for me having missed out so far, so was pleased to see that some treasures are still filtering out.

Hopefully there will be a bunch of saw rehabilitation threads in the coming months for us all to inspire one another with.

    Kind regards,
    Lance
