It's great to see these saws going to new homes and a bit of TLC. Far better than being thrown out or being subjected to the indignity of having scenery painted on them and being sold in gift shops.

    That will never happen [emoji35][emoji35]
They can bury them with me before they get landscape paintings on them.

Since there doesn’t seem to be a rush on these last saws, if no one objects to my greed and rudeness,
could I also ask for “The End “ to add to my pile ?
To my untrained eye, it looks like It could be used after a bit of a cleanup, while some of my others need quite a bit of work, and may take me a while to get around to it, if you know what I mean.

I am partial to some quality maple syrup

I just received an anonymous tip. Saw #10 would compliment one of the others I have chosen.
If it is possible could I also add that one to my mountain. If it’s considered that I am taking too many, I will substitute one of my others. Let me know anyway.

With regards your new saws an postage.
I will now go through the thread and start to make up your individual piles of saws(have already started this.

Once I’ve done that, we will start to get your postal quotes extra.
And contact you with Postage costs and package costs($1 per saw)
Most who have put there hands up for a saw have PM already (Thank you).
We will try and get the saws off as quick as we can, some of you may have gathered that I live and work in Melbourne.
We visit our home most weekends(This is where the saws are stored)in Ballarat.
So the sending off will take a little bit of time to sort out.
So we will be in touch ,but it may take few weeks.
I know the wait may be hard for some, I appreciate some are eager to get into there new saws restorations.

    Cheers Matt.
There’s still a few good saws there if you’re 50/50 on one, please feel free to ask me any questions and I will try to answer them.
Or provide more information if I can.

    Cheers Matt.

There you go, an open invitation to choose more saws....

If I'd known Ironwood was going to get a semi load I would have asked if mine could be dropped off on the way! But Australia Post may have gone broke as a result of the loss of my business.

Thanks for that, I think that will do me for now, that lot should keep me busy for some time.

I’ll have to hit up the boss for some overtime to pay for that semi

I guess the old saying “ you can never have too many saws “ ( or insert any other tool name here ) rings true .
I think this lot will keep me busy for a while, just hope I haven’t bitten off more than I can chew, I have got a lot on my plate already.
We all need to do our bit for Auspost, they need all the help they can get.

Default Roll up roll up free vintage handsaws

It has been brought to my attention that saw number 108 Is not vintage,
Sorry everyone my sources tell me it’s a fake,a ring in,a want a be.

Firstly the hole at the Toe end(the small end)
Is similar to your garden variety Hardpoint saw.
Secondly the teeth have very steep gulets.
Just like you buy at a hardware chain.
Your traditional saw file won’t reach that deep.
An will also not be able to sharpen the metal due to the manufacturing process.

I will go hang my head in shame in the corner [emoji3064][emoji3064][emoji3064]

I suspect something fishy going on here. I have it on good authority by a very reliable source that the Warrented Supervisor is the real deal, not a show pony like some of the others, how can this happen. I suspect foul play by some photoshopping scammers, we need to get to the bottom of this.

I'm updating the list of saws vs names based on Doug's great initial list.

I've added my name on 105...
